Feels like a classic american chain hotel. The bones are good (architecture, art, location) and the front staff try hard, but it’s all a bit shabby. Main downside is the food - ignore the reviews, it’s thoroughly average - top prices but pretentious and just not very good. Definitely plan to eat elsewhere if you stay
This is a spectacular hotel. Everywhere you turn, you are surrounded by beauty. The little moments when the sun dances off the vines. Peaceful time spent cozy by the fire looking up at the stars. Enjoying breakfast and the panoramic Andes mountains catch your eye. The stunning clawfoot bath by candlelight with a glass of red. It's really a special place. If you're able to draw yourself away from the hotel, the concierge service recommended great winery visits for us. Matervini was stunning and lunch at Lagarde divine. They went above and beyond to schedule a private candlelight dinner for us, and we're extremely helpful when we realized we didn't have enough pesos for a taxi ride to the airport (oops). There was a bit of a hiccup over the timing of our winery visits, but it ended up working out. I'd just advise to confirm that everything is correct the day before. Overall, this is a special place and I'm so grateful to have gotten to enjoy it. Till next time!
Best place to stay in the Lujan de Cuyo area! This is the service level to what all hotel resorts should be held too! When we were pulling up we were greeted by one of the founders and GM along with a glass of the house Malbec wine which was amazing.
We selected the Honeymoon Package which included a lot of activities (i.e. cooking class, horseback riding, wine bath, dinner inside the wine cave, etc.) which we highly recommend. The highlight of the activity list was the cooking class so make sure to do that if you can fit it into your schedule.
One of the best features of this resort was the "small feel" to it since it only has around 18 rooms so we were able to meet other couples which was a lot of fun.
